Description:
Calcined Petroleum Coke comes from delayed coke which extracted from oil refinery. Although Calcined Petroleum Coke contains a little bit higher level of sulfur and nitrogen than pitch coke, the price advantage still makes it widely used during steel-making and founding as a kind of carbon additive/carburant.
From the raw materials of producing carbon additive, it is classified as follows:
1. Artificial graphite – the best carbon additive, but price is very high. It should be the first choice in smelting of nodular cast iron to improve the quality of cast iron.
2. Petroleum coke – widely used in steelmaking, foundry, iron casting and smelting etc.
3. Natural graphite – usually do not used as carbon additive due to impurity and high cost.
4. Coke and anthracite – seldom used due to high content of ash and volatile components.

Application range:
